I was invited to be part of the promotion team for the fashion show "Genesis" in Ringling College of Art and Design. Me and my other two teammates were tasked to create three different versions of the "G" logo with different types of fabrics.

LET'S DIVE INTO THE PROCESS!
The idea of Fabric collage was inspired by slow fashion. Genesis wish to provide a creative platform of fashion design to students, at the same time promote the idea of slow fashion in order to raise the awareness of ecological damage of fashion in nowadays society.
Solution?
So our team came up with the idea of reusing the fabric scraps that are produced from the production of Genesis.
We ended up going with Swiss style with grid system according to the moodboard.
PROCESS
After collecting the fabric scraps, we get to work...
It was a really long process of just mixing and matching as all the fabric have very different textures and material. But it was so worth it and fun as it was super hands-on, no computer involved, just chatting and collaborating🫶
And of course, we spent some time to clean up afterward...
